Barry Cunliffe, the best-selling author of the “My True Love” series, has been talking about the concept of self-awareness and the connection between our conscious and subconscious minds for quite a while. He is the creator of the blog, The Self-Awareness Project and has written extensively about the power of awareness. He is also a certified facilitator, educator, and author of the book, Awareness and the Power of Your Imagination.
The book contains several highly entertaining chapters that really help explain the self-awareness concept. One chapter takes a look at what we have learned about ourselves as “self-aware” and we can see how the conscious mind can become an object of interest for people who are trying to keep the self-aware mind from looking at their own past. The other chapter looks at the fact that the conscious mind can influence the self-aware mind.
The second half of the book covers the self-awareness concept in more depth. It’s been pointed out to me that self-awareness is the ability to notice your own self-awareness. And that self-awareness is what makes you aware of what you notice and what you choose not to notice.
It’s a thing that I have to remember the most frequently. The problem is that I don’t think I’ve really gotten the point of this whole thing. The fact that I’ve just got to have taken the time to actually get to this and read this book is an interesting sign that the self-aware mind is not a good fit for the self-aware mind.
The self-aware mind is not an easy mind to work with however. The trick is to find the right self-aware mind to work with because the wrong self-aware mind sets off alarms and can actually make things worse. It can be challenging to choose that self-aware mind. I mean who are you really talking to? You are talking to yourself.
We are talking to ourselves, but because we are self-aware we can see our own thoughts and actions. Self-aware minds are very helpful but they are also very difficult to work with. The trick is finding the right self-aware mind. We can use the same process to find the right self-aware mind.
One of the best ways to do this is to set up a “self-awareness test.” This involves taking a test and then watching yourself perform the task. You can think of this as the same thing that a doctor would do with a patient. If you can do the test correctly, you will find the right self-aware mind and it will help you find it. The test can range from simple brain scanning to actually acting out the task.
The best way to test for self-awareness is to perform a brain scan. This is one of the most effective ways of discovering our true state. For example, if you are a complete nerd, you may not feel like answering any questions about the internet, but if you had a medical scan that showed you had no brain activity, there is a good chance your self-awareness would have also been absent.
You can also perform a brain scan by simply staring at a blank screen for two hours. This is a very effective way to test yourself to see if you are self-aware. However, the scan is not foolproof and you can still fool yourself by thinking you are just a regular person who has no reason to be self-aware. For example, “You are a normal person who is a complete nerd and you are completely unaware of your online identity and your identity elsewhere.
It is true that self-awareness is a very useful tool but it is not a necessary one.
